Its DDR3 ram, Currently I am using Nvidia GTX 660 2gb with low setting. B450-A Pro Max seems great for gaming but i don't use ryzen processor. Can i run i5 on it ?

Well unfortunately No it won't support Intel CPU. By the way if you're looking for a motherboard which can fit with your CPU, then try to look on ebay for 2nd hand board
