I have i7 6700 with a stock cooler. I don't know why but i get higher temperature when i play games. They approach to 70-84°c. Do i need to buy watercooler?
Do you think i should get a new cooler ?
The 120mm coolers are simply not that much better than the stock cooler and are mostly just a waste of money. I recommend you
Noctua NH-D15
I don't think it can overkill 240mm AIO for any intel processor. Running a cooler that is "enough" is not "enough".
Hi i bought the new Cooler ( 120mm AIO ) and now its working perfect. My temperature went down i am so much happy with it
One of the most important decisions when building your PC, especially if you plan on over clocking, is choosing the right cooler. It’s often a limiting factor to your over clocking potential, especially under sustained loads. Your cooler choice can also make a substantial difference in noise output. So buying a cooler that can handle your CPU’s thermal output/heat, (be it at stock settings or when over clocked) is critical to avoiding throttling and achieving your system’s full potential, while keeping the whole system quiet.
