I want to ask for alternative source of power supply that I can use for my PC if there is no power supply in my house so that my PC battery last for a long period of time.

Thinking of upgrading my PC's power supply. I know the standard ones are fine, but I want to explore alternatives. Do you have any ideas?" better in terms of power efficiency?"

If you're looking for something different from the usual, you might want to consider a modular power supply. They're super convenient because you can use only the cables you need, reducing cable clutter.

That sounds good, but is it really better in terms of power efficiency?"

Modular PSUs don’t directly affect efficiency, but they can help airflow in your case since you won’t have unnecessary cables everywhere. If you’re looking at power efficiency, though, you should check for ones with an 80+ certification.

I have heard of 80+ certification. What’s the difference between, say, 80+ Bronze, Gold, or Platinum?

It all comes down to efficiency. Bronze is decent, Gold is more efficient, and Platinum is top-tier. Platinum PSUs waste less power as heat, which can lower your electricity bill in the long run and provide more stable power to your components.

That could be worth it. What about something even more eco-friendly or sustainable?

Well, if sustainability is a big concern, you might want to look into power supplies from brands that focus on eco-friendly manufacturing processes or ones that use recycled materials. Also, some have hybrid modes that only kick on the fan when needed, which saves energy.

Oh, I didn’t realize there were eco-friendly options like that. What’s your opinion on renewable energy systems for PCs? Like solar-powered setups?
