Windows 11 and 10 have been attempted, but neither installation would acknowledge the disk. I tried to erase the disk using the installer's command prompt, but it isn't visible there.
I tried downloading the Intel Rapid Storage Technology because it's an HP laptop. Inf from HP's driver's page, but the installer also had trouble locating the driver.
Cant find the driver during windows installation
Disable Intel RST. Make sure sata controller is set to AHCI.
Installing the Intel RST driver Take it out (do not install). You might need to install Winrar in order to extract. Locate the F6/VMD subdirectory. Transfer the folder to the Windows installation media. During the install step of Windows, load the driver.
Thanks, I was unaware that I required the whole folder. I had previously just attempted the.inf file. At least I was headed in the right direction.
