Upgrade power supplies
I have an NVIDIA 3060 Ti and a Z790 motherboard. I also need both an 8-pin and a 4-pin EPS connector.
You’ll probably want at least a 650W or 750W PSU, preferably 80 Plus Gold-rated for efficiency.Maverick wrote: Sun Mar 16, 2025 2:40 amI have an NVIDIA 3060 Ti and a Z790 motherboard. I also need both an 8-pin and a 4-pin EPS connector.
Yeah, I was thinking Gold-rated too. Any specific brands you trust?Kai wrote: Sun Mar 16, 2025 2:41 amYou’ll probably want at least a 650W or 750W PSU, preferably 80 Plus Gold-rated for efficiency.
Seasonic, Corsair, and EVGA are solid choices. If you're on a budget, Cooler Master and Thermaltake also have decent options.Maverick wrote: Sun Mar 16, 2025 2:42 amYeah, I was thinking Gold-rated too. Any specific brands you trust?
Nice. Do you think modular is worth it?Kai wrote: Sun Mar 16, 2025 2:43 amSeasonic, Corsair, and EVGA are solid choices. If you're on a budget, Cooler Master and Thermaltake also have decent options.
Absolutely. Full modular is the best for cable management, but semi-modular can work fine too if you don’t mind some pre-attached cables.
Makes sense. Thanks for the advice! I’ll check out some models.Kai wrote: Sun Mar 16, 2025 2:45 amAbsolutely. Full modular is the best for cable management, but semi-modular can work fine too if you don’t mind some pre-attached cables.
